We had the honour of attending a close family friends’ wedding in Anhui. Anhui is in the province of Jiansu Province, Eastside of China. It’s famous, for the beautiful scenic Mount Huangshan, also known as ‘Yellow Mountain. ‘

Arrival into Chi Zhou

We arrived at Chizhou via the smoothest ride of the early morning bullet train.

Our first meeting was with the family of the Bride and Groom. We had the pleasure of meeting a long line of generations from both sides of the family that morning.

The children instantly settled into their new environment as they were gifted with sweets and drinks. However, they were most happy being temporarily adopted by the Jie Jie‘s (Older sister) who were keen to get to know their new friends.

Early Wedding Events

The day progressed towards a large pre-wedding lunch. The Bride & Groom were busily engaged with 1000’s of years of important family traditions being passed down from generation to generations thereby preserving history.

The Restaurant Feast

We retuned from lunch fully satisfied and filled to the brim with food & drink! The sounds of laughter, happiness and crackers signified the impending formal nuptials.

There was a procession of wedding gifts bearing the prosperous colours of red streaming back into the apartment as we made our back to the wedding home.

Beautiful Chinese Bride

Shortly after entering the the apartment, there was a buzz in the air! The sound of background volume of guests filling carried the excitement like a plume of smoke! Our eyes stumbled on the breathtaking Bride. She was on a petal-dusted bed surrounded balloons and decorations. She seemed so peaceful and calm, yet strong and powerful with the vividness of deep red!
