Qibao Ancient Town is an “oldie but goodie” place to visit for us for a number of years. A visit in Spring and Autumn are probably the best seasons to get the most out of the day and evening. It has most of what you need for a day out involving some nature, history (visit the Temples), places to rest and most importantly an assortment of Shanghainese cuisine and snacks. It gives you the buzz of being a tourist, but with a welcoming local feeling. There is an array of choices of paths to follow, places to rest and areas to admire the eye-pleasing scenery.

It isn’t too long until we have our pictures taken of which we kindly oblige since we are often in a relaxed frame of mind when visiting. There are often a good volume of children for the kids to make friends with. Qibao Ancient Town is reachable easily by road and subway which connects directly to the city-centre.
We have a bank of photo’s but I added a few here-as you can see it was pre-mask times- how we miss those days!
