This is so typical for Shanghai where the long hot summers transition into autumn/winter in the blink of an eye.
Those who fail to be avid followers of the weather (yes, many fail to note- fortunately not us this year!) abruptly find that their short sleeved summer dresses or shorts are no longer suitable from here-on out.
Those in the fleeces and coats walk by smugly as if they got the ‘weather memo’ that others forgot to read! Oh well, it happens to all of us at some point in life!
Its technically autumn for about a week then winter takes its place. I’m looking forward to the endless cups of ‘hot water’ and new year events to come.
